IEEE IHTC 2024

ABSTRACT

The session “Energy Regulation in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East” (Aula Magna Attilio Alto, Politecnico di Bari, November 28, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM) represents an important opportunity to strengthen ties between the countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea, with a particular focus on the relationships between Italy, the European Union, and other strategic regions such as Africa, the Middle East, the Balkans, and Central Asia. This meeting aims to explore and strengthen international energy policies, fostering cooperation on a global scale.
Under the moderation of Alberto Biancardi, the participants will begin the discussion based on the GSE’s established experience in managing technical assistance projects, such as Taiex and Twinning, carried out in countries like Albania, Georgia, Lithuania, Malawi, Moldova, Palestine, and Turkey. Each speaker will have the opportunity to outline the key role of their organization, highlighting the best practices adopted to address common challenges in the energy sector. This will be a crucial moment of dialogue to promote sustainable and innovative energy governance at the international level.
